A11y Express

A free bookmarklet that checks eight WCAG 2.2 points in the page you have open, in one click: the lang attribute, images without alt, presence of an h1 and skipped heading levels, links and buttons without an accessible name, form fields without a label, duplicate ids, interactive targets smaller than 24 × 24 px (success criterion 2.5.8), and a skip link or main landmark.

No data is sent: everything runs in your browser. Findings appear in a panel and can be copied as JSON for your tickets.

Install

Drag this button to your bookmarks bar, then click it on any page:

A11y Express

Or copy the bookmarklet code: bookmarklet.txt · readable source: bookmarklet.js · GitHub repository (MIT).

Try it on a synthetic page

Open the synthetic test page (fictional content with deliberate defects), then click the bookmarklet. You should see nine findings, listed on that page. No real site needed.

Feedback and support

Feedback is voluntary and goes through GitHub: open an issue (bug report or feedback form). See SUPPORT.md for what to include and what to expect (best effort, no guaranteed response time).

Do not send private data. Issues are public. Never paste a real page's URL if it is not public, user data, cookies, tokens or screenshots containing personal information. Reproduce with a synthetic example instead, like the test page above.
